Info:

The license for each festival is granted under strict conditions of attendance and public safety, prevention of disorder and prevention of public nuisance. The decision as to the eviction will be

at the discretion of the Eviction team, following advice from festival security staff and will be overseen by the Security and Event Management.

 

Entry to the premises will be refused to any person

- Who appears to be intoxicated, is acting in a threatening manner or is violent

- Found to be in possession of a prohibited item

- Any person caught damaging materials, creating fires, throwing missiles or taking part in any kind of anti-social behaviour that endangers themselves, festival goers or staff

 

Persons will be liable for eviction under the following circumstances:

- Drugs

- Anti-Social Behaviour*

- Robbery

- No Wristband

- Assault

- Theft

- Sexual assault

- Juvenile drugs

- Breach of Terms and Conditions

 

*unacceptable behaviour that can lead to eviction includes but is not limited to:

- Illegal activity

- Breaching the terms of the conditions of entry

- Failing to submit to search upon entry to the site

- Offensive behaviour

- Throwing hard objects in the direction of people

- Encouraging others to behave badly by incitement

- Preventing our security or emergency services reacting to a situation

- Building or fuelling large bonfires or committing a criminal offence but not arrested by the police

- In possession of unlawful drugs

- Unofficially selling alcohol, tobacco, counterfeit goods or any other unauthorised goods

- Any other behaviour that leaves the festival open to prosecution or is not conductive to maintaining a safe event

 

 

Discrimination:

Greek Fest do not accept any discrimination towards any individual or groups of individuals at any of our festivals.

 

Irrespective of the background of the individual, be that gender, race, disability, age, religion or belief, gender identity or other reasons, we are proud of the diverse nature of the festival and our customers. If you see or experience anyone undermining this, not matter the circumstances, please report it immediately to one of our staff.

 

We take all reports of discrimination and harassment seriously.

 

It is not acceptable to grope, threaten or harass others. If this happens to you, speak out and we will help you.

 

If you need assistance due to feeling uncomfortable or worried about a situation someone else has placed you in, don’t feel embarrassed, ask security or stewards for help.

 

 

Harassment:

Ask for Angela

We are supporting the Ask for Angela campaign, which is operational across the site and is briefed to all staff members including security, stewards and bar staff. Ask for Angela is an initiative aimed to provide support in a discreet manner for anyone experiencing harassment of any kind. Customers are encouraged to go to a member of bar staff or security and ‘Ask for Angela’.

 

In an Emergency:

There are many security, stewards or site staff on duty, all of which will be clearly identifiable by their uniform or hi-vis. For any emergencies, locate a member of staff who will be able to assist or locate the correct assistance.

 

Welfare Facilities:

The welfare facilities on sire will be open throughout the event and are staffed by experienced and supportive people who understand festivals. They can be there to give you information, a few minutes to rest yourself and refresh or offer support if you need it. Alongside the welfare area, there will be a dedicated SEN area for those who might need a little space to calm down and gather their thoughts about their surroundings. There will be an array of sensory items as well as ear defenders for hire. All items will be sterilised throughout the event.

 

The welfare area will also be the meeting point for reuniting with your group or party should anyone get lost. From children to retirees, all are welcome and encouraged to come to the welfare area should they get separated.

 

There will be a trained medical team on site with all necessary equipment and facilities for the festival.

 

If you need to bring medication with you, we encourage you to bring a copy of your doctor’s letter or prescription. However, if you do not bring this, don’t threat, our Search Supervisor and Front of House team will use their discretion at the time.

 

Dues to the likelihood of hot weather (yay), we will be providing free water for the event, however, there is of course the ability to purchase water from the bars or traders on site.

 

Security:

- Persons Under 18 will be accompanied by an adult upon entry to the event. Security will be checking ID’s at the entrance

- Greek Fest have a pre-agreed eviction policy agreed prior to the event commencement with the Local Authority and Police

- All bags, regardless of size will be searched upon entry to the event. Everyone over the age of 16 attending the event will be subject to a both bag and body searches as a condition of entry. Buggies/Prams will be checked if they have underneath storage. If an attendee looks to be over 16 but the team are not sure they will be asked their age before a search takes place. For all attendees 16 and 17, the security officer will ask the accompanying adult’s permission to search them. Attendees will be searched by a security officer of the same gender, if you wish to speak to a security officer about who is conducting the search before the search commences, please ask to speak to the search supervisor

- We reserve the right to refuse admittance to any person who refuses to be searched

 

Lost Children/Vulnerable adults:

All children/vulnerable adults will be asked to wear a white wristband on entry, here you will be given the opportunity to write a phone number on this, should the child get lost we will be able to contact the number on their wristband.

 

If you do get separated from your child/vulnerable party member, please head straight to the welfare area.

 

All found children/vulnerable adults will be taken to the welfare area where they will be cared for by trained staff members.
